We tried the ultra-hyped beauty brand Merit beauty and have put together our favourite products from the range to make your shopping experience a little easier! The collection is designed to give the user easy to use daily makeup products for a minimal makeup look, to give your skin a beautiful natural glow and to enhance the users natural beauty. We feel it does just that, however in some of the colour products we would have liked a slightly more concentrated pigment as we found we had to apply a generous amount in order for the product to work its magic especially the contour stick. Overall though, we are loving the range and there are some stand out products.

We haven’t figured out if they are delivering to Ireland yet but for now ask your pals in the UK or US to shop it for you or shop it when you are on your travels!

Solo Shadow

We adore this creamy eyeshadow, it is a stunning product with gorgeous rich pigment. It is super easy to use and great for creating a super quick smokey eye. It doesn’t require a lot of skill which we appreciate! We love shade mid-century.

Flush Balm

This is the product that really drew us to the brand and it is beautiful! This is definitely one for the natural makeup lover as it leaves a very subtle colour pay off and glow but it works beautifully fora minimal makeup look. We use it on the high points of the cheek, nose and it also gives a gorgeous glow on the lips either alone or on top of your lipstick. Shade Stockholm is our favourite for blush and terracotta is amazing for a natural bronzey glow – these are new mom 5 minute makeup essentials!

The Minimalist

The complexion stick has been a brilliant addition to the makeup up bag, a gorgeous creamy and lightweight texture which gives just enough coverage. It is neither a foundation or concealer but works to even skin tone and lightly cover dark circles and blemishes. Hydrating, buildable deliciousness! Also works great as a contour stick if you opt for a shade 3 times darker than your natural skin tone.

Great Skin Serum

This really is a drink for the skin, it leaves the skin looking so plumped hydrated and glowy and we love it as a pre makeup glow up. I have nearly finished my 1st bottle and will definitely be buying it again as it really is a tired new mama essential. Weightless formula absorbs quickly into skin with zero residue, leaving it plumped, hydrated, and prepped for makeup.

Great skin is designed to complement The Minimalist but can be used with any complexion product to give skin a healthy glow.

Some benefits to love:

4 types of hyaluronic acid target multiple layers of skin to lock in hydration for all-day moisture

Niacinamide helps brighten skin and smooth texture

Caffeine-rich cacao seed extract stimulates blood flow for an immediate plumping effect

Japanese goldthread root helps soothe skin

Supports a healthy skin barrier over time

Non-comedogenic formula

FYI... Products we didn’t love as much (we don’t like to be neggy) but we weren’t wowed by the mascara, so maybe one to avoid! It definitely separates the lashes but with no real drama and we felt like we had to layer it up considerably in order to get any impact.

The bronze balm has a lovely texture but we found the colour payoff too subtle to make an impact.
